Summary Under close supervision, performs a wide variety of repetitive and non-repetitive bench or line mechanical subassembly and assembly operations of a semi-skilled nature to produce products, making required minor adjustments in the assemblies as needed.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Follows production drawings, sample assemblies and verbal instructions with close supervision. Understands and applies established acceptable workmanship practices to all facets of mechanical assembly.- Interprets and works from schematics, drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly.- Makes accurate mathematical calculations and uses precision measuring instruments as required.- Uses a wide variety of hand and power tools to perform skilled fitting and assembly work. Inspect parts and performs basic tests.- Tends machines, such as arbor presses or riveting machine, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.- Works at different work stations as production needs require. Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.- Performs basic testing, assembly and or disassembly of mechanical assemblies using both traditional and non-traditional tooling such as multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supply, function generator, LCD meter, screwdriver, torque wrench, standard wrench, etc.- Works on assembled components, requiring manual dexterity and the ability to work with simple hand tools, soldering equipment, volt meters and other related test instrumentation. Results Expected:Credit Activities- Works with the CFS Manager in establishing and maintaining effective credit policies and procedures that ensure customers are originally given and then maintain proper credit limits and payment terms, including communicating these policies and procedures to the appropriate individuals. These policies and procedures should include, as deemed valuable, the reviewing of data from sources such as credit reports, credit references, internal payment history, and sales personnel or other individuals.- Effectively uses the policies and procedures in establishing and changing customers credit limits and payment terms and communicating the credit limits and payment arrangements to the customer and other appropriate individuals. Ensures communications with customers, Mfg. Reps/Dealers, and Teledyne personnel related to customers’ accounts by any media is handled in accordance with the Teledyne Principles, that is with courtesy through the use of proper telephone etiquette and courteous verbal and written communications. Variations in credit limits and payment arrangements from standard business practices must be properly documented.   Included in this responsibility is ensuring that the customer credit data is maintained, properly organized, and that confidential information is properly protected from unauthorized disclosure.Collection Activities- Works with the CFS Manager in establishing and maintaining effective collection policies and procedures that focus on ensuring the quality of Teledyne’s trade accounts receivable. These policies and procedures must balance the amount of effort to collect against obtaining the payment on the outstanding A/R amount. The policies and/or procedures are to include determining when a past due account is referred to an outside agency or to Teledyne’s attorney for collection or determining when the account is not collectable.- Maintains the overall A/R aging for the assigned grouping of customers in alignment with the top 75% of the peer group related to DSO/Turnover. This is achieved by effective use of the collection policies and procedures including communicating, as needed, the decisions to the customer and other appropriate individuals. Ensures communications with customers, Mfg. Reps/Dealers, and Teledyne personnel related to customers’ accounts by any media is handled in accordance with the Teledyne Principles, that is with courtesy through the use of proper telephone etiquette and courteous verbal and written communications. Teledyne Environmental Instruments is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong contracts and leadership background to join our team as the Consolidated Business Unit (CBU) Contracts Lead for the business units comprising the Environmental Instruments CBU within Teledyne Technologies Incorporated’s Instrumentation segment. In this leadership role, the CBU Contracts Lead will employ leadership and strategy for cradle to grave support for a variety of pursuits, programs, and agreement types across a diverse customer community. Primary responsibilities include, providing leadership and development of Contracts staff, reviewing request for proposals, supporting proposal submittals, leading contract negotiations, managing complex programs and agreements, and formalizing contractual documents. This is a highly visible role that will have frequent interface with Business and Corporate level executives and reports on a solid-line basis to the CBU and on a dotted-line basis to Corporate Contracts.  The individual will serve as the primary point of contact with Corporate Contracts on contract matters and will support Corporate Contracts with various Corporate-sponsored initiatives and projects. Relocation assistance will be available. Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Lead and manage all aspects of the Contracts function across multiple business units including developing standard processes & procedures & cross training of contract staff to effectively support the needs of the overall CBU- Supervise contracts personnel within the CBU, including assigning workloads, setting priorities, providing leadership and development, and conducting performance reviews.- Draft, review, negotiate, and execute a broad range of contracts and agreements, including, but not limited to:- Nondisclosure Agreements- Sales Representative, Distributor and Consultant Agreements- Master Supply and Licensing Agreements- Domestic and International Sales Contracts- Federal, State and Local Municipality Contracts- Aptitude to strategically evaluate proposals, negotiate terms and conditions, and identify and mitigate risk.
