Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Assists with the Purchasing function by performing purchasing tasks normally associated with the position of Buyer, including contacting vendors for price quotations, issuing purchase orders, entering information into Dynamics AX ERP system, and expediting outstanding purchase orders- Coordinates sending requests, following up with supplies to obtain compliance/ purchasing information and compiling dataCommunicates with vendors on a regular basis to request delivery information and status of deliveries- Maintains excellent communication with all in-house customers in a business manner with all departments to accomplish the overall goas of the company- Assists in forecasting by being aware of current market trends on availability of materials and pricing to resolve potential problems before they affect continuity of supply- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information by observing all procedures regarding privileged information. - Coordinates with Accounting to resolve discrepancies of purchase orders and invoices by analyzing information and correcting data so Accounting is able to match invoices to purchase orders and issue payment- Maintains a safe and organized work area by observing all safety policies
Purpose Statement: Responsible for the financial reporting for the Environmental Group inventory valuation including ensuring compliance with Teledyne Finance methodologies. Also, provides timely information on impacts of variances to product standards and other inventory variances. Provides insights and guidance on the financial integration in the ERP system on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) financial reporting. Results Expected:1. Properly, accurately, and efficiently prepares the costing and financial information necessary for monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external reporting purposes. This includes calculating and activating standard labor and overhead rates, generating and activating mass standard cost rolls and ensuring that the appropriate workpaper documentation exists to support external reporting. 2. Ensures the standard manufactured direct costs are reasonably accurate and representative by: 1) reviewing new item revision codes and populating Accounting’s fields; 2) performing selective cost roll; 3) reviewing and identifying the standard lot sizes are updated; 4) performing analysis on new standard cost rolls for annual activation.3. Performs monthly cost accounting requirements including: 1) inventory management, journal entries, reporting inventory received and not invoiced 2) inventory reserves’ calculations; 3) reclassifications and accrual journal entries; 4) cycle counts information extraction and monitoring; 5) analyzing variance and expense accounts.4. Analyzes production orders actuals compared to standards, requests corrections, closes orders.5. Monthly processing and posting of manual and automated journal entries, closing of interim periods and year ends, the appropriate updating of all necessary cost allocations between cost centers as it relates to inventory valuation, reported variances and COGS financial reporting. These responsibilities require adherence to time schedules. 6. Assists the Environmental Group Controller in responding to Directors, Managers, and Supervisors questions related to inventory/PoNC expense variances in a timely manner. 7. Prepares recurring and ad-hoc requests for cost and financial analyses and documentation as assigned by the Environmental Group Controller in support of internal and external reporting needs.8. Assists in controlling auditing costs for Teledyne Environmental by performing responsibilities as assigned, such as the preparation of work papers for the external auditors as needed. 9. As it relates to Teledyne Environmental, ensures that the Environmental Group Controller is kept informed by discussing: 1) all anticipated changes to existing reports and data, any new requested reports and data, as requested by company personnel before requests are implemented; 2) any major problems that have occurred in dealing with other departments of the company or personnel within the accounting department; 3) any proposed changes to the operating systems before changes are made; and 4) any internal control weaknesses or situations within the company that may develop into potential problems along with suggestions of possible solutions.11. Assists in achieving the goals of Environmental by performing other duties as assigned.

Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Having wide ranging experience, uses professional level concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Provide expertise to the Teledyne Environmental Engineering groups in the field of Software Development, for scientific field and laboratory instruments. Work requires a broad knowledge of software development processes and languages for the development of and continued production of Teledyne Environmental products. This individual must be able to work with Product Development Engineering Teams at multiple Teledyne Environmental business unit locations to harmonize coding standards, development processes and development tools. The Group Manager will be responsible for implementing strategies to allow for code use across the business and structure the group to have the ability to easily work across business units to ensure success of the most critical projects across the Environmental Group. Develop and implement activities in Engineering to meet goals, quality and cost objectives. Creating project plans that will help the organization meet the goals required for new products or designs. Selects, develops and leads personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the engineering function and develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Prioritizes schedules based on multiple factors and customer requirements. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Determines critical methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel. Tasks and assignments tend to be highly complex, non-routine and/or require a greater level of expertise. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined. Duties are performed under very limited supervision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (other duties may be assigned): · Serve as a technical expert for the development and verification of software across the Teledyne Environmental Group.. · Develop a standardized coding practice that is used across the Teledyne Environmental Group. · Develop and implement a software development process that can be seamlessly incorporated into the Knowledge Based Product Development process. · Harmonized the software development and support tools across the Teledyne Environmental group. These would include but not limited to development tools, code repository, bug tracking, code review, and information distribution. · Develop a strategy to create modular code that can be reused across the group to shorten product development time. Manage library of available modular code and oversee the redeployment of this code.· Works with management and other departments to discuss project specifications and procedures.· Manage engineering resources to ensure all present and future products and services are of high quality.· Directs subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies by providing leadership to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals to ensure production goals are met within organization goals of budget, time requirements and high level of quality. · Generally supervises lower level supervisors and/or professional staff and may supervise semi-skilled nonexempt employees which include some or all of the following: assemblers, technicians, machinists, welders, operators and clerical support, providing guidance to employees according to established policies and management guidance.· Ensure that departments within the organization reach goals within budget and a high level of quality.· Interacts with subordinates and/or functional peer groups regarding exchange or presentation of information.· Determines work schedules and overtime (if applicable) and allocation of resources and equipment. This Position is responsible for leadership in the area of EHS, providing a safe work environment for all employees and ensuring site compliance with all gov’t environmental and safety regulations for the following Teledyne sites; Lincoln, NE, Omaha, NE, Bozeman, MT, and State College, PA. The position will be based out of Lincoln, NE. Also, this position, is also responsible for the overall maintenance of the assigned facilities including include the installation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant equipment, machinery, and facilities and grounds maintenance function. This Position must have excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver effective communications, presentations, reporting to employees, management and external agencies, negotiate successfully, and positively influence site personnel in support of strong plant safety and security programs. This Positon performs the following duties personally or through delegation. All these duties and responsibilities are performed in a personal and management style consistent with the operating principles of the business. 1. Responsible for plant safety and security programs and keeps informed and in compliance with Teledyne Technologies Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to safety, health and environmental issues (e.g., OHSA, EPA, DOT, DOL, NDEQ.)a. Ensures compliance relating to air and water pollution, waste disposal and chemical releases within the Company by obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating data in order to accurately assess potential air, water, or land pollution sources. Must also monitor facility discharges, emissions, and hazardous waste disposal for compliance. b. Responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and working with department supervision in the development and execution of measures to assure personnel safety. May exercise emergency authority to prevent or stop unsafe action when immediate action is required. c. Ensures the site Environmental Health and Safety Management Plan is prepared and implemented. Conducts EHS internal audits and drills as appropriate (e.g., fire, tornado). d. Reviews and analyzes near misses, injury and incident reports and data and develops injury and incident strategies for corrective and preventive actions. e. Responsible for achieving the objectives and activities of the site safety committee and first responder team. f. Responsible for meeting regulatory training requirements as determined by site or business leadership. 2. Plans, coordinates and manages site-wide maintenance activities to ensure the long-term viability of the site facility including the maintenance of company grounds. 3. Responsible for the establishment, operation and continuous improvement of an effective preventative maintenance program which encompasses all plant facilities and equipment and results in being well maintained and capable of meeting the requirements of the plant at all times. This includes the stocking of adequate supplies and repair items for the maintenance of the equipment and to minimize down times. 4. Monitors equipment performance and implements reliability improvements to deliver the productivity and budget requirements of the shift operations. Develops, monitors, and reports performance metrics that support continual process improvement. 5. Working with Management, develops, coordinate and/or facilitates training materials and programs as appropriate to meet the objectives of the company as per the scope of this position. 6. Responsible for plant construction and services, and the supervision of actual installation, including outside contractors. Also, responsible for the economical operation of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems and other utilities. 7. Under the direction of direct supervisor, communicates with government agencies and service as a company representative in case of inquiries, surveys, or audits to correct deficiencies and to minimize citations and fines for noncompliance. 8. Maintains accurate maintenance and safety records and files. 9. Directs employees and outside contractors to meet scheduled commitments and that is sensitive to, responsive to and delivers on the priorities of facility and customer needs. Manages contractors to seamlessly support the operation business shifts. 10. Acts as an advocate in related to the Company’s objective of all employees are responsible corporate citizen by ensuring that all operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulations and laws governing business operations. 11. Assists in the achievement of the business’s overall goals by performing other related duties that may be assigned.
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the design and support of business intelligence applications. Works with business and IT senior management to understand and prioritize data and information requirements. Solves complex technical problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts- Integrates data from multiple sources (ETL-Extract, Transform and Load) to produce requested or required data elements- Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources- Optimizes the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and index that add value to the user- Creates testing methodology and criteria- May create specifications for reports based on business requests- Creates process flows, detailed design documents and end user procedures- Leads training sessions for users in-house and remotely on various tool sets- Drives strategic business decision making through detailed analytics, insights and real-time reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and financial results- Conducts data audits to verify data accuracy and ensures data quality- Uses reporting tools such as SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Crystal Reports, Excel, etc.- Develops standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure and attributes of the business intelligence tools and systems- Develops data/information quality metrics- Responds to high-priority, critical reporting requests as needed- Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines Supervisory Responsibilities- This job has no supervisory responsibilities, but provides technical leadership to lower level Applications Developers/Analysts.
