Teledyne Microwave Solutions is hiring a Sr. Product Quality Inspector to perform Space Level in-process and final inspection of RF and Microwave products. Space Level inspections to include upscreened parts, element evaluations, all stages of pre-cap and finals. Inspection experience in wire bond, die and component attach required. Products include but not limited to hybrid microcircuits, various integrated products. Inspections of incoming parts will be required. Receiving/Incoming Inspection duties may include performing incoming and mechanical inspection of fabricated parts for RF and Microwave products. Parts may include but not limited to the following types: active devices such as FETs, transistors, diodes; hardware such as SM TO-8 and TO-8 headers; covers. Works with Quality Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering staff to clarify requirements. Work with Customers Representatives is required.
The microwave technician will be responsible for the Thin Film tuning, aligning, troubleshooting, and final testing of microwave components, subsystems, and integrated assemblies. Most of the components operate in the 500 MHz to 26 GHz frequency range. Some special products operate up to 50 GHz. A strong knowledge of microwave test equipment like scalar and network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, noise figure meters, and digital scopes is required. Most of the work is done under a microscope using special handmade tools and probes. Some mechanical assembly may be required. Technicians are required to become proficient with ball bonders, soldering irons, and gap welders. In many cases technicians will be required to work with engineers on new product releases or to trouble-shoot a product.
