The Embedded Software Engineer will design and develop microcode (software and firmware) for next generation scientific CMOS cameras optimized for Life Science applications. With excellent all-round skills in software development for real time systems using FPGA-based microprocessors, the successful candidate will be responsible for the complete embedded software design of the camera system from sensor interface to host PC communication. The processing technician will be responsible for the thin film deposition of Teledyne's Bulk Acoustic Wave products. These products operate in the 350 MHz to 17 GHz frequency range. A strong knowledge of vacuum equipment such as evaporators and triodes, along with mechanical and diffusion pumps, water cooing lines, cold traps and head gates is required. Most of the thin film deposition work is done in a class 100,000 clean room and requires the frequent changing of gloves. The ability to dis-assemble and re-assemble the vacuum equipment is required. Working with chemicals such as liquid nitrogen, acetone, phosphoric acid, aqua regia and potassium ferrocyanide is required. The ability to lift objects weighing up to 30 kilograms (66 pounds) is required. Excellent eye and hand coordination is a requirement of the position. The technician should have good language and communication skills. Technicians must be able to follow written instructions, processes and procedures. In many cases, technicians will be required to work with engineers to create new procedures. The technician is required to produce well written project notes and data packages that are organized and clearly labeled. The technician should be able to trouble-shoot vacuum equipment without supervision using schematics and/or other documentation. The technician must be able to explain and demonstrate how thin film deposition is performed. The technician should be proficient in the standard processes of deposition. A goal for this technician is to be able to produce Teledyne standard products within the first 60 days of employment. The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for developing, testing and programming applications software that pulls data from the ERP Oracle database to automate business processes. Update or develop ERP reports and queries. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures as they relate to databases. Position Summary: FPA Assembly Technician is a hands-on position for executing daily assembly manufacturing operations of infrared and visible imaging focal plane array (FPA) assemblies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The primary duties and responsibilities are as follows. This position will be trained on the first shift but will move to second shift, once fully trained. - Perform production assembling and inspection of FPA assemblies and packages- Perform precision alignment, die attachment, and ICD measurements- Follow process travelers, drawings, work instructions and procedures- Maintain manufacturing workflow, work instructions and equipment calibration- Document and report promptly any nonconforming events from manufacturing - Contribute to manufacturing troubleshooting and hardware rework- Recommend process improvements or changes as needed- Work with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for recording data - Observe ESD safety practices and cleanroom practices- Must be available to work 2nd shift- Be able to work flexible schedule and additional hours as needed
