    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Controls is seeking a seasoned Contracts Manager to support proprietary negotiating and drafting agreements that captures the business objectives and conditions of Teledyne Controls.  The Contracts Manager will serve as the

    the focal on negotiating and drafting agreements that captures the business objectives and conditions of Teledyne Controls.


    Essential duties:

    • Conducts and leads proposal development, negotiation and provides contracting expertise to develop business solutions. 
    • Understand, articulate and summarize the business transactions.
    • Represents the company to diverse customers, including U.S. Government, commercial, international and public/private institutions.   Negotiate with customers in friendly and cooperative manner.
    • Accurately and comprehensively identify contract risks
    • Provides contracts and pricing guidance, technical and operational leadership for the program/business management teams.
    • Document contract activity, including contract negotiation and modification.
    • Work effectively with other disciplines in the company to accomplish these tasks.


    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field with two (2) to four (4) years' of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Working knowledge of commercial contract terms and concepts, including Uniform Commercial Code required.
    • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and draft legal documents required.
    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat Professional strongly preferred.
    • Working knowledge of negotiating and administrating FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 contracts strongly preferred.
    • Software and other intellectual property licensing experience preferred.
    • Ability to implement and manage ITAR compliance systems, processes and procedures preferred.
