    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Controls LLC is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support the Aerospace Electronics business.  The HRBP serves as the HR point of contact and first line support for all Human Resources functions for a defined client group. The ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day HR functions including but not limited to recruiting, benefits administration, workers' compensation administration, employee relations, performance management and other various projects.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

    • Consult with assigned client group and corporate HR teams to resolve challenges and drive HR-based solutions to tactical business problems, as well as identify and resolve sensitive situations/issues relating to core HR processes and practices.
    • Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive work environment, maintain favorable and effective relationships and ensure consistent, equal, and fair treatment of employees.
    • Perform full cycle recruitment activities, interviewing, and evaluation of candidates for all open positions. Maintain affirmative action program and perform outreach to community sources as needed. Participates in job fairs/college fairs as necessary.
    • Provide day to day performance management guidance to management including coaching, counseling and career development.
    • Ensure compliance and HR practices are consistent with business objectives, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Partner with the management team to develop and maintain succession plan for the business.  Manage the annual performance management process and communicate with management as necessary.
    • Identify training needs for client group and individual executive coaching needs.
    • Manage the workers’ compensation claims, oversee the disability management process for designated client group and and counsel employees as necessary.
    • Produce weekly, quarterly and annual reports as required by management and/or government entities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and minimum five (5) years of directly related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Strong working knowledge of HR processes and practices with emphasis in employee relations.
    • Strong communication skills (verbal & written) with a demonstrated ability to influence and earn credibility and trust.
    • Ability to diagnose problems, identify, and implement appropriate solutions.
    • General knowledge of Microsoft Office and HRIS software, ADP Enterprise preferred.
    • PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
