    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The Systems Analyst defines and solves problems of a complex nature in management systems, engineering systems, or information systems.

     

    The Analyst will:

    • Perform testing and analysis of PATRIOT missile system hardware status monitoring and diagnostics software used to evaluate the operational status of the tactical hardware.
    • Provide on-site support during PATRIOT System development and acceptance testing.
    • Design, execute and analyze independent software tests at AMRDEC’s Patriot Software Test Facility (PSTF).
    • Evaluate, and independently test new hardware that is being developed to address both hardware obsolescence issues and to improve Human Factors for system operators.
    • Modify existing software data analysis tools along with develop of new software data analysis and software testing tools.
    • Perform Packet data analysis on network communication between network hardware components.

     

    Candidate must possess ACTIVE security clearance.

    Qualifications

    Education:

     

    Requires a BS or BA degree in engineering, business administration, or other appropriate field, plus five (5) years professional experience in specialty area and a demonstrated proficiency in the application of mathematical methods to system analysis.  An MS degree is highly desirable and may be substituted for up to two (2) years experience.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of computer architecture, network communication protocols, and packet analysis.
    • Experience developing test tools for analysis and assessment of software requirements.
    • Experience with using Databases for maintaining and tracking test cases.
    • Experience with Python, Perl, and C++ programming languages
    • Experience with Network analysis tools such as Wireshark.

    Citizenship Requirements

    Due to classified work at the facility and related access restrictions, successful applicants must maintain U.S. Citizenship to allow the person to hold a U.S. Government security clearance.
