    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    We are currently looking for a regular full-time Fabrication Manager for the Plating area.

    • Oversee department to ensure all plating/cleaning lines, wastewater and air scrubbers are operating per process to maximize production.
    • Ensure that employees adhere to safety and environmental compliance.
    • Supervise and train employees including process specification changes.  
    • Schedule production, maintain quality acceptability.
    • Responsibilities include new chemical make-up and proper storage and disposal of old.
    • Maintain chemical inventory, order supplies and plating equipment, schedule repairs.
    • Work with management and engineering process evaluations.
    • Supervise on a daily work-flow schedule and distribute work to employees.
    • Coordinate employee schedules

    Citizenship Requirements

    Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "U.S. Person" (US citizens, US nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).


    • A minimum of 3-5 years of plating experience
    • Experience required plating nickel or cobalt harden gold, pure gold, palladium/nickel alloys and electroless nickel.
    • Ability to use of microscope, XRF thickness measuring system.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as surface areas and time/amp rate of deposit.
    • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will be required to occasionally stand/walk/sit/reach with hands and arms/climb or balance, lift up to 25lbs; Will frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel; Will continuously need to talk or hear.
    • VISION requirements: must be able to see clearly at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more, be able to distinguish and identify colors, be able to have depth perception (3D vision) with the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, also the ability to adjust focus as needed
    • WORK ENVIRONMENT: Be exposed to vapors, airborne particles, chemicals or radiation (safely below occupational exposure levels). Frequently working near moving mechanical parts. Noise level is loud.
