    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The CMM Operator/Programmer, Laser Tracker and Mechanical Inspector will perform CMM and/or Laser Tracker inspections (including mechanical inspections) on complex hardware to assure 100% product conformity.

    • Perform CMM and/or Laser Tracker Inspections (including standard use of hand tools for measurement) to determine complex product acceptability.  
    • Read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and standards including application of GD&T. 
    • Performs as a specialist in mechanical inspections.


    Education and Experience:


    Requires a high school education or equivalent plus college level courses in subjects applicable to assignment or equivalent, and approximately 12 years experience in the same or closely related work.

    • Knowledge in mechanical parts/materials.
    • Must be confident in determining product acceptability.
    • CMM programming experience a significant plus.
    • Knowledge of AS9100C Quality Systems a plus.
    • Knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings and specifications including application of GD&T.
    • Requires ability to perform mechanical inspections using a laser tracker and/or CMM as well as hand M&TE tools.
    • Must be proficient with PC DMIS software.
    • High School diploma plus at least 6 years experience in a related field.


    Citizenship Requirements

    Due to classified work at the facility and related access restrictions, successful applicants must maintain U.S. Citizenship to allow the person to hold a U.S. Government security clearance.
