    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The Buyer III evaluates, selects, places, and expedites assigned procurement contracts or portions of a procurement contract of limited complexity, diversification or expense.



    • Reviews purchase requisitions submitted by company organizations which are generally minor in nature, where a minimum of research and development work by the subcontractor is necessary, subcontractor sources are generally known and available, limited necessity for new source development, and there is a low dollar volume of subcontracting activity.
    • Checks requisitions to insure correct amounts, type of material and any special technical or scientific requirements in the purchasing of a variety of metal, wood, liquid, plastic or paper products, where commodities purchased are generally related, of routine technicality, complexity, or expense, usually short flow and readily available in the market, and which present vendor evaluation, expediting and technical liaison of limited complexity.



    Requires a BS degree in a recognized field of engineering or business, or equivalent, plus one year experience in procurement activities.
