    We are looking for the assistance of an entry level Maintenance Mechanic 1 to our team in the Relays Adjust area.

    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    • Knowledge of equipment set up, repair and high precision maintenance; check fixtures, and trouble shoot as needed
    • Learn the functions of the different types of equipment used, cross train (learn functions and trouble-shooting methods) on other equipment to continue to build knowledge and skills
    • Teach/remind operators how to safely operate equipment
    • Prepare raw materials for production
    • Learning the process specifications for each operation
    • Any additional duty as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent GED
    • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of previous technical/mechanical experience
    • Must have basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide), and be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
    • Must have good working knowledge of maintenance repair
    • Must have good judgment and initiative in solving complex problems
    • Must be able to read and follow documents such as safety rules and procedure manual, write short correspondence and utilize drawings and schematics
    • Be able to use the microscope and common hand tools and precision measuring devices (micrometer, multimeter, profiler and other methods of gauging production parts)
    • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate will occassionally be required to walk, sit, stoop, crouch, talk to provide feedback, hear for instruction or feedback, be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs; Will frequently be required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and continuously be required to use hands to fingers to handle or feel.
    • VISION REQUIREMENTS: must be able to determin close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distant vision (clear vision at 20 ft or more), be able to identify and distinguish colors, have clear peripheral vision (left to right, up and down), have 3D depth perception to be able to judge distances and spatial relationships, and lastly be able to adjust focus as needed.
    • WORK ENVIRONMENT: will frequently work near moving mechanical parts, and occassionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles (safely below standards). Noise level is moderate.
