    Teledyne Controls is seeking a Sr. Network Security Engineer that will build, integrate and install security infrastructure components to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Teledyne Controls' products.

    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    This is a hands-on role that will lead deployment of controls to identify misuse of assets, mitigate compromises, and to perform security incident handling and troubleshooting. The Sr. Network Security Engineer will lead the development of security architecture and requirements for Teledyne Control products.  The successful candiate will also be expected to assist other senior engineers with development of system engineering requirements and test procedures


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Implement the policies for all aspects of information security across the enterprise and production environments.
    • Lead development of security architectures, requirements and test procedures.
    • Build the infrastructure for internal/external penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
    • Assist with creating information security policies.
    • Make solutions for day to day network security activities.
    • Design and build the security infrastructure for multiple projects.
    • Test and deploy new security technology.
    • Represent Teledyne Controls in Aviation Security committees and security industry conferences.



    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in security engineering or related field.  Master’s degree preferred.
    • Experience operating as a security resource for a large production operation required. 
    • Familiarity with at least one object oriented language such Java, Python.
    • Proficient with the following types of security tools:
      • Vulnerability scanners
      • Security event logging & Monitoring Analyzers
      • Intrusion Detection/Prevention System (IDS/IPS) and firewall logs
      • Performs system and network security audits
      • Anti-virus products and Central Console
    • Basic knowledge with auditing, risk and threat analysis, contingency planning, creating security standards, and various security tools.
    • Understanding of TCP/IP, Linux, network/system intrusion techniques, firewalls and VPNs.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • This position may require domestic or international travel (25%).
