    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for the day-to-day production related technical issues, risk management, and coordination of work through various departments for fabrication of focal plane arrays within Operations.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Coordinates work through various departments. Closely interacts with focal plane engineers, planners, material growers, semiconductor processors, packaging, and testers to improve focal plane production and meet program requirements.
    • Works across departments to meet on time delivery of focal plane arrays.
    • Additional responsibilities include analyzing detector and focal plane data, processing, and production parameters to improve production of focal plane arrays.
    • Manages efforts in the development and execution of a risk management plan during fabrication of focal plane arrays
    • Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data


    Citizenship Requirements

    Due to classified work at the facility and related access restrictions, successful applicants must maintain U.S. Citizenship to allow the person to hold a U.S. Government security clearance.


    Qualifications & Competencies


    To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:


    • Knowledge of II-VI or III-V semiconductor materials, processes and devices (e.g. HgCdTe Superlattices, InSb, InAb, GaSb, InP, Si, etc.)
    • Technical knowledge in Engineering and/or applied Physics, including epitaxial growth/materials and semiconductor processing methods is highly desired
    • Experience in project management, risk assessment/management, cost account management, cost estimation and engineering planning is highly desired
    • Effective communication (written and verbal) of very complex ideas and the ability to communicate at any level of audience
    • Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
    • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices


    Education and/or Experience


    • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in engineering disciplines with five (5) years of experience.
