    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Storm Microwave, a leading manufacturer of RF/microwave cable assemblies, is looking for an Engineering Technician for the Quality department at our Woodridge, IL facility.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Perform Quality Product Audits on finished goods using TSM print or Customer Print
    • Provide feedback to Production Supervisor and/or Line Leads with regards to the findings during Product Audits
    • Inspect Incoming Materials from TSM Suppliers using the Inspection Notes listed in SYSPRO
    • Create a DMR report for non-conforming materials from TSM Suppliers as needed
      • Work with our suppliers with regards to rework, replacement, recovery schedule and corrective action
    • Review Sales Order Notes for:
      • First Article Inspection Requirement (if yes on FAI, provide the sales order to Quality Engineers for execution)
      • If needed issue sequential serial numbers for the hardware per the Technical Notes in SYSPRO
      • Verify and issue RoHS certificate as needed
    • Assist Quality Engineers in requesting Source Inspection for Northrop and Raytheon. In addition, gather relevant paperwork needed for the Source Inspection.
    • Create C of C and traceability for monthly shipment of Ball Aerospace
    • Learn and serve as back-up for Document Control

    Qualifications

    • Associate's degree (A. A.) in Engineering (desirable) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent manufacturing experience
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    • Experience as a Final Inspector is a plus
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Acrobat
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • U.S. Person required for this position, includes but is not limited to, U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents
