    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The Missile Development Subject Matter Expert will provide part-time support to the Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) Test Execution Support Division. Candidate will serve on independent review team (IRT) panels to review technical data presented during target missile design reviews and technical meetings as required. The candidate shall understand missile requirements and missile design standards, including guidance navigation and control, missile mechanical structures, avionics, integration and test, and risk management.

    Citizenship Requirements

    Due to classified work at the facility and related access restrictions, successful applicants must maintain U.S. Citizenship to allow the person to hold a U.S. Government security clearance.


    Education and Experience:

    • Requires a BS Degree in a recognized field of engineering with a minimum 16 years of experience.
    • Candidate must have a broad knowledge of missile design fundamentals
    • Must have highly developed written and oral skills.
    • Must be able to work well within a team environment
    • Must be able to communicate well with senior leadership.
    • Must be able to understand how to obtain and explain detailed technical information to non-technical personnel.
    • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
