    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The Manufacturing Business Analys I will work under the leadership of a Business Manager, Director of Business Management, Technical or Engineering Manager to support the planning and execution of contracts and task orders.


    This position will be responsible for the following:

    • Successful financial execution of manufacturing operations supporting multiple programs across the company. This would include planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and quality for manufacturing related Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements.
    • Working with Finance and other Business representatives to establish, and monitor indirect budgets related to Manufacturing.
    • Identify areas for potential operational improvement and implement activities which will be executed in a team environment.
    • Establishing and maintaining direct communication with internal customer leadership such as program directors and program managers.
    • Review and evaluation of manufacturing metrics to insure effective manufacturing execution.



    The successful candidate must have:

    • Proven understanding of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), manufacturing engineering, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) as it applies to a government contractor manufacturing environment.
    • A proven history of driving cost from manufacturing operations to increase efficiency and lower manufacturing cost.
    • A successful history of interfacing with Engineering, Business Development, Finance, Quality, Contracts, and Supply Chain organizations in a medium to large government contractor environment.
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle stress, and significant leadership skills.
    • Ability to work flexible hours
    • Proficiency in the preparation of Monthly Forecasts, Annual Business Plans, and Quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs)
    • Experience in pricing proposals in response to Requests for Quotations (RFQ) and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM)
    • Working knowledge of how various contract types (ex. Cost Plus, Firm Fixed Price, Time and Material, etc…) are priced and executed in accordance with Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR) requirements
    • Ability to analyze data and articulate cost reduction suggestions as well as provide accurate variance comments to upper management
    • Excellent interpersonal skills

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Candidates must have a BS degree and at least 15 years-experience in manufacturing management for Defense or Aerospace projects with an understanding of manufacturing quality requirements for such projects, and exposure to supply chain management issues.
    • Understanding and prior application of Earned Value Management.
    • Ability to acquire and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in organizational transformation including application of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts.
    • Direct Experience with Epicor ERP, TM1, and Deltek Costpoint.
    • Active Security Clearance (Secret).
