    Teledyne LeCroy, a division of Teledyne Technologies (NASDAQ: TDY), has a growing Automotive Solutions Group based in our Farmington Hill, Michigan facility.  Our equipment is utilized around the world, and we are looking for an Events and Social Media Intern to support the growth of our business in the Detroit area.  This is a part-time role working approximately 20 hours per week from our Farmington Hills, MI location.  (Days of work will be Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday).  This position is available immediately. 

     

     

    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    This position will be responsible for assisting the marketing manager, or in some cases taking full responsibility for tasks. This person will assist with existing business relationships with current clients through ongoing seminars and workshops, assisting in bringing new clients on board via database, partners and social capital.

    A successful candidate will also be responsible for collaborating with different work groups and departments to improve customer support programs and enhance customer satisfaction. 

     

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Provide regular updates to on the progress of campaigns and seminars.
    • Help brainstorm and create a strategy to promote events, and boost registration and attendance.
    • Creating social media content postings to promote trainings, products, services, at tradeshows.
    • Develop a course schedule for upcoming quarters, including planning events, securing instructors, and generating topics based on customer feedback and research.
    • Provide administrative support including by not limited to: managing the main entrance, greeting visitors, organizing materials and food for onsite events, processing expense reports/ invoices, assisting with travel arrangements, etc.

    Qualifications

    Requirements

    • Pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing preferred (currently enrolled in Sophomore year or higher)
    • 1+ years’ experience in a customer facing role
    • Working knowledge of Linked In
    • Proven ability to utilize programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
    • Ability to work with urgent deadlines, flexible priorities and manage multiple high-priority assignments
    • Results driven, energetic, resourceful and hands-on individual with a strong service orientation
    • Strong communication skills

    Additional Skills (preferred but not required)

    • 1+ years’ of experience in social media marketing, including experience with developing engaging content.
    • Experience utilizing Salesforce.com
