Teledyne Paradise Datacom is focused on the design, manufacturing and sale of satellite modems, solid state power amplifiers (SSPA), low noise amplifiers (LNA), block up converters (BUC) and associated redundancy subsystems. Paradise Datacom has delivered products and subsystems for use in satellite communications systems to an extensive list of customers located around the world.
Design microwave amplifiers, converters, and subsystems. Be able to work with Drafting personnel to develop Bills of Material for the manufacture of microwave circuits. Work with technicians or alone to test and evaluate new designs for production. Proven ability to lead the technical design effort of systems from concept to production including test methods and plans. Advanced knowledge of control and communication theory.
Ability to demonstrate strong and experienced technical leadership.
Ability to lead projects to on-time completion of deliverables.
Effective customer interface, providing presentations that are persuasive and professional.
Proven capability to give meaningful presentations to design teams and customers that are professional and clearly convey information.
Advanced knowledge of electronic design in one of the following specialties: RF/Analog circuit design or Digital/Analog circuit design.
Advanced knowledge of mechanical concepts pertaining to RF circuits.
Advanced RF and/or Digital lab skills.
Highly experienced in RF budget (lineup) analysis.
Experienced in the using PA characterization tools to measure tools to measure AM-AM and AM-PM performance.
Capable of working with customers to develop amplifier and converter module specifications and set reasonable expectations.
Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of Keysight software including the Advanced Design System, Genesys, EMPro 3D Simulation Software, and Momentum.
Knowledge of basic PADS and DXDesigner also helpful.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete.
