    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Responsible for driving the execution of quality goals and objectives by ensuring compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements.  Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating production processes, production equipment and finished products.  Be able to work cross-functionally to identify causes of potential product/process failures and drive corrective and preventative actions internally and/or with suppliers as needed.  Proactively drive actions to meet internal and external customer expectations for quality and continuous improvement.  Actively support customer and vendor audits.

     

    • Review industry standards and contracts to the extent necessary to enable assessing and improving management system processes and related performance metrics.
    • Interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data to establish process flows and standard operating procedures
    • Use root cause corrective action and problem solving tools to prevent occurrence or recurrence of issues
    • Compile data and perform analysis to identify adverse trends and systemic issues related to product conformity or process suitability
    • Establish processes for identification, escalation, or action to resolve product or process issues varying from basic to complex.
    • Prepare, issue, or present reports or proposals based on information analysis
    • Perform risk assessments and use project management skills to the extent necessary to manage a global vendor base
    • Contribute to definition and deployment of quality tools and processes in-house and at key subcontractors (vendors)
    • Lead cross-functional teams in quality improvement activities (e.g. Kaizen events, root cause analysis, LeanSigma projects, etc.)
    • Perform Internal Process Audits and develop quality plans and other process control procedures to ensure processes, work in progress and finished goods meet the specified quality standards

    Qualifications

    • B.S. degree in Engineering (preferably in an electrical or manufacturing discipline)
    • 7-10 years of experience in quality in a manufacturing environment
    • Working knowledge of MIL-PRF-38535 and MIL-STD-883 standards
    • Working knowledge of semiconductor component processing, including wafer fabrication, assembly and testing
    • Working knowledge of semiconductor device structures
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Ability to review failure analysis reports to provide feedback regarding potential failure causes and recommend additional evaluations leading to the root cause.
    • Working knowledge of MIL-PRF-38534 is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and proven ability to drive complex issues to closure in a timely manner.
    • Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
    • Strong communication skills (e.g., written, oral, listening, presentation, and technical writing).
    • Demonstrate proficient skill level with standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vision, Access, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
    • US Citizenship/Permanent Residency/Other US Person status due to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
