    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    • Create printed circuit board design solutions for SSPA amplifiers and systems. Includes 2 and 4 layer densely populated digital CCA’s, as well as RF PCB’s and components.

    • Generate, verify and validate Gerber data and perform design rule checks (DRC).

    • Maintain library of all schematic symbols, footprints and part types. Review and verify all aspects of new symbols, footprints and parts before releasing for company use.

    • Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings by applying standard and established drafting procedures.

    • Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures and provide technical information.

    • Coordinate with mechanical designers and engineers to establish board outlines, mounting locations and component placements.

    • Manage all aspects of the document control process. Assign new drawing numbers. Create complete detailed Bill of Materials for all new products and designs. Enter new purchased components in the MRP system, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.

    • Maintain all design changes through the ECR and ECO process.       Maintain accurate revision/change histories.

    • Work with vendors to resolve manufacturing issues, improve designs and reduce cost.

    • Apply working knowledge of PCB/CCA vendor capabilities/techniques and manufacturing processes.

    • Support manufacturing in resolving assembly issues and improving procedures.





    • Must be proficient with Mentor Graphics PADS Layout and Logic, AutoCAD/DraftSight, ACE3000

    • Excellent problem solving and time management skills.

    • Microsoft Office products.

    • Detail oriented, self-motivated and highly organized.




    • Position requires an Associate Degree and 3+ years’ related experience in PCB design and electronics packaging.

    • Experience with RF boards and amplifiers is preferred.

    • Self-starter willing to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
