    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Marine Systems is a member of a group of leading-edge undersea technology companies that have been assembled under the Teledyne Marine umbrella. We include Teledyne Benthos and Teledyne Webb Research on Cape Cod and Teledyne Gavia in Iceland. Our products include underwater vehicles (both towed and autonomous), acoustic sensors, pingers, releases, and flotation. Teledyne Marine Systems is EveryWhereYouLook!


     


    Teledyne Marine Systems is seeking an experienced person for our stockroom. He/she must be a self-starter, work with limited supervision and be able to work in a team environment.


     


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



    • Ability to frequently carry up to 10lbs.

    • Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines

    • Kitting of manufacturing orders to the production floor in a timely and accurate manner

    • Picking of parts for customer orders and forwarding to shipping department

    • Performing Cycle Counts and being a key participant in the annual Physical Inventory

    • Putting incoming material away in proper locations

    • Review component shortages and bring parts to appropriate area upon receipt

    • Support Receiving, Return to Stock and de-kit material actions

    • Maintain inventory material locations

    • Support the maintenance of FIFO inventory control

    • Ensure accuracy of inventory through various transactions in accordance with applicable procedures

    • Excellent written/verbal communication

    • Computer skills and knowledge of Office software

    • Comply with of all company safety policies

    Education/Experience



    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Ability to work with changing demands in a fast-paced environment

    • Excellent communication skills

    • 1-2 years Manufacturing inventory experience

    • Computer Experience required

    • Working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook

    • Ability to adapt to change and maintain a positive attitude

    • Candidate must possess U.S. citizenship or be a "U.S. Person". (A U.S. Person is defined as a person who is a lawful permanent resident “Green Card holder” as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101 (a)(20) or who is a ”Protected Individual” as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).)


    Preferred:



    • Knowledge of and experience with continuous improvement principals

    • ERP experience
