    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The Electrical Engineer will work on projects that include the Launch Vehicle Stage Adapter (LVSA), as well as other NASA and commercial space projects. The Electrical Engineer will work in cooperation with the Project Lead Engineers to provide designs and analyses for space-flight vehicle systems, and components. The Electrical Engineer will document designs and results of analyses, publish reports, and may support Working Groups at NASA MSFC.



    Requires a B.S. degree in a recognized field of engineering, plus a minimum of five (5) years diversified engineering experience with a demonstrated capability for technical leadership.


    Job Requirements

    • BS Degree in an engineering/technical discipline
    • 5 yrs electrical design experience
    • Proficient with CAD applications, such as CREO, Auto-CAD Electrical, and Solid Edge
    • Hands-on experience developing/producing space-flight hardware and systems
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Office, PowerPoint, and Word
    • US Citizen

    Preferred Capabilities/Experience

    • Prefer Electrical Engineering degree
    • Prefer advanced degree
    • Experience with avionics systems and cabling design, and PCB design and layout
    • Circuit analytical experience for preparation of systems analysis reports
    • Familiarity with NASA standards and specifications
    • Familiarity with SLS and LVSA hardware
    • Experience working with vendors who support NASA
    • Experience working with SLS Primes
    • Experience with aerospace component and/or subsystem testing, including an understanding of data systems, instrumentation, and test data analysis is a plus

    Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
