The primary manufacturing facilities are located in the United States, Taiwan and France. We are a vertically orientated manufacturing and design company with major operations in Southern California.

    We are seeking to add a dependable Assembler 2 (Solderer) to join the COAX Switches group.

    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    •Will solder and inspect to IPC J-STD-001, Class 1,2,3 and Space levels

    •Perform adjustment and test of Coax Switches/Relays

    •Will work with a microscope, soldering equipment and a variety of hand tools

    •Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks

    •Work on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues


    •High School diploma or equivalent is required. Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience.

    •2 years, minimum experience performing soldering and inspection to IPC J-STD-001 - preference to an individual holding current certification

    •Must have excellent eye-hand coordination, good dexterity to assemble small parts

    •Ability to work with indicated equipment such as tweezers and test equipment

    •Must be able to work with a microscope.

    •Have the ability to communicate with others in the department.

    •Complete corresponding paperwork (test and evaluation results). 

    •Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

    •Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

    •Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

    PHYSICAL DEMAND: will occasionally be required to stand/walk, hear or talk for instruction or feedback, to lift and carry up to 10 lbs; will be require to continuously sit, to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms

    •VISION REQUIREMENTS: Specific for this position include (distant vision) Far Vision Snellen 20/50; (close vision) Near Vision: Jaeger 1 at 355.6 mm (14 inches) or reduced Snellen 20/20, or equivalent; and Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish red, green, blue, and yellow colors) as prescribed in Dvorine Charts, Ishihara Plates, or AO-HRR Tests.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: will occasionally be in contact or work near moving mechanical parts, be exposed to vapors, fumes or airborne particles (safely below standards). Noise level is moderate.
