    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Storm Microwave, a leading manufacturer of R/F Microwave cable assemblies, is searching for an Inside-sales Representative for a Regular position at our Woodridge, IL facility.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Assess/decide whether incoming opportunities fit TSM’s core markets/capabilities – provide guidance to independent sales reps on same.
    • Make product recommendations to customers utilising engineering background skills and based on a number of factors including, but not limited to: 1) specific usage/application, 2) pricing expectations and 3) product delivery needs.
    • Provide product information and quotations in response to customer requests on catalog and customer specific products. This work may include creating tailored specification sheets based on specific products and discussing specific technical issues with the customer.
    • Follow up on outstanding customer quotations – and as required, develop and execute plans to optimize potential for successful business award to TSM.
    • Serve as initial point of contact on customer complaints, attempting to understand/resolve concerns to minimize customer impact/dissatisfaction
    • Provide accurate, timely responses to customer requests for assistance on open or past orders – communicate, assist in resolving issue on open orders
    • Provide factory assistance for field sales personnel – independent sales reps and direct salespeople – this may include a wide variety of tasks

    Qualifications

     Qualifications Required:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • 4 year college degree preferred.
    • 1-2 years Inside Sales or Customer Service experience with technical products in a manufacturing environment required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

    •  Ability to understand and use technical terminology as regularly used in engineering applications.

    • Must be able to read and interpret documents and drawings
    • Must possess strong math skills - required
