    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Position Purpose

    Provides technical and hands-on development for Teledyne Imaging Sensors’ Thin Film Optics department to ensure completion of projects within assigned deadlines and budgets.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Technician runs spectrometers and other analysis tools
    • Performs inspections and measurements of optical components and assemblies
    • Maintains optimal performance of measurement equipment
    • Fabricates lenses and assembles military spectacles
    • Perform operations as described in work instructions and as trained
    • Supports occasional odd hour or weekend shift
    • Open to working staggered shift
    • Assist fellow technicians with production work, as required
    • May assist senior technicians in other areas as required
    • Comfortable handling delicate components and small parts
    • Successful candidate must have the ability to obtain a security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship and a cleared background check
    • Must be available to work second shift


    Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma
    • Experienced with the manipulation of small parts


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Detail oriented and comfortable handling delicate components or small parts
    • Must be a quick learner and willing to perform many different tasks
    • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
    • General computer competency using MS Word and Excel
    • Ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions and drawings
    • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
