    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Battery Products’ has an exciting opportunity as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in our warehouse division.  Under general supervision, this position will responsible for all tasks involved with shipping, receiving, storing of materials, supplies and equipment.  This position requires strong emphasis on safety, quality of work and accuracy.

     

    Key Functions

    • Verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents
    • Ensuring that shipments are properly package
    • Preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading 
    • Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment to include recording and maintaining shipping data
    • Follow shipping policy and procedures, responsible for preparing UPS, Federal Express and other carrier shipment documents; follows receiving procedure for incoming materials
    • Verifies and identifies information and quantities against packing slip and purchase orders; counts items and indicates discrepancies
    • Enters incoming receipt of materials in database upon completion and verification of physical counts; reports discrepancies to supervisor
    • Assists with maintaining accuracy of stockroom inventory; kits work orders and fills shortages
    • Manage AOG (Aircraft on ground) products

    Qualifications

    Required

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • At least a minimum of three (3) years’ of experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Must be able to read and understand manufacturing orders
    • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Required to stand for lengthy periods of time
    • Basic math and ability to use calculator
    • Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written format
    • Ability to work in a cold/hot work environment
    • Must be a U.S. person required 

    Preferred

    • Experience in supply and/or warehousing
    • Experience conducting inventories
    • Experience using FedEx applications
    • Forklift license
