    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The Test Technician provides technical support for production personnel and operates test equipment to test semiconductor devices by performing the following duties.

    • Troubleshoot and solve test hardware problems if suspected to be the root cause of device failure.
    • Capable leading a cross functional team to resolve production test issues
    • Maintenance, Set-up and Repairs on (ROOS), (HP82000), (Credence-Vista), (Credence-TMT-ASL1000), (NEXTEST-Maverick), (DATA I/O-Unisite), (Verigy 93000), (Megatest-Q2/62), (Trillium) and (Rack/Stack test equipment).
    • Maintenance, Set-up and Repairs on tri-temp robotic test handlers such as (Symtek-7936), (Symtek-300) and (Aseco-S130) and (Thermal-stream temperature forcing systems)
    • Knowledge of typical electronic bench type test equipment and it’s use when combined and interfaced in a Rack/Stack configuration
    • Design and assemble electrical test hardware based on schematic drawings. This shall include PC board design and layout using CAD software and specification of the required associated mechanical and electrical components.
    • Repair existing test hardware, as needed by repairing or replacing worn or damages sockets and components. This may require contacting outside technical support and/or service.
    • Support Production Test with test program transfers, AC & DC calibration, test channel allocation and compiling of test programs.


    • BS in Electrical Engineering, or Technical school and 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience related to the Semiconductor Industry
    • Excellent soldering skills required
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task and handle difficult situations at times
    • Must be a self-starter and take responsibility for assigned work
