Successful candidate will work independently and with guidance from Task Lead to plan and perform structural analyses. Analyst will consider the static strength, stability, margin of safety, and fracture/fatigue life of SLS Vehicle primary and secondary structures, as well as Ground Support Equipment.
Candidate will formally document all analysis results; preparing technical reports and presenting findings at technical reviews, as required. The results and documentation for all assigned tasks will be thoroughly reviewed to assure that outputs are complete, correct, and integrated with project objectives.
The candidate will comply with existing processes and procedures and recommend process improvements where appropriate. Candidate may direct the work of other more junior, or more senior analysts.
Required Skills and Education:
BS degree (MS preferred) in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution and a minimum of 15 years experience in classical stress analysis and finite element analysis of structural components are required.
Some experience in leadership, or direction, of other analysts is desired.
