This position requires high energy and a willingness to make process improvements based on data and investigation. Working under general supervision, the individual will conduct methodical reviews of existing processes in order to improve quality, consistency of the build processes, throughput, and lead times. Experience in adhesives, bond preparation, molding and urethane, neoprene is a plus. This position will provide troubleshooting, process review, documentation, and training support to the production floor. This includes mold and tooling design, including the ability to review existing molds and/or mold flow analysis data in order to recommend mold/gating improvements to reduce defects. This position will ensure that product quality is maintained, while minimizing production and test costs, support new product introductions by working with the design engineers and other manufacturing engineers to develop documentation, fixtures, BOMs and processes that ensure product quality and manufacturability.
