    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Must be considered an all-around machinist with tool maker abilities and a minimum of 5yrs experience.
    • Position includes precision grinding, small tool modifications, re-sharpening tooling for C.N.C. utilization, creating E.D.M. electrodes and other tooling requirements as needed.
    • Must be creative and have the ability to create tooling jigs and fixtures for use in second opps and inspection of piece parts in a team environment where brainstorming ideas is the norm.
    • Must have the ability to work from sketches, drawings and verbal instructions.
    • Must have the ability to lift 50lbs as needed.
    • Must maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.


    Education and Experience:


    • High School Diploma 
    • Five years minimum machine operation experience
    • Conversational and EIA code knowledge for multi-axis CNC equipment
    • Experience cutting multiple materials, (Titanium, Stainless, Inconel, Plastics)
    • Background or experience in Manual machining 

    Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Journeyman machinist a plus
    • Proven knowledge and understanding of CNC equipment and programming languages
    • Proven knowledge of metal cutting tools and techniques
    • Working knowledge of MS Office programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills – written and verbal
    • Basic Understanding of “Lean Manufacturing” technique

    Physical Demands:

    • Occasional Lifting up to 50 pounds
    • No travel
    • Unplanned Overtime
    • Daily computer usage 

    Work Environment:

     Production floor environment


    Personal Protective Equipment:

    • Safety glasses required while in production areas
    • Safety shoes at all times


    Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
