    Teledyne Controls’ Summer Internship Program is designed to provide a robust and meaningful experience that includes high impact, business-relevant, hands-on project with well-defined goals and deliverables.  Interns will have access to professional development and mentorship, leadership exposure, and Controls’ immersion activities.  Interns will work directly with assigned current project the team has going on throughout the internship.

     

    Controls’ Internship Program is a premier ten to twelve-week program focused on preparing graduate and undergraduate students’ for product-facing consultative internships.  Paid internship positions will start in June and ends end of August.  All Intern applicants must be a registered, full-time student at a college or university.

    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Controls’ currently has an exciting opportunity as an Intern for our Support Engineering division.  Under general supervision, this position will participate in a state of the art advanced Optoelectronic solutions maximizing the performance capability, capacity improvement yield and quality of the end product and user experience

     

    Key Functions

    • Provides support with projects and work related items identified to support the development engineering department
    • Supports failure mode effects analysis and product qualification testing
    • Assist with technical drawings and documents
    • Must be able to ascertain all of the safety requirements that are needed to support a job before the work is started
    • Completion of all required paperwork (written and computer based)
    • Work within a team structure to achieve company and department goals
    • Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments as assigned

    Qualifications

    .

    Required

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Current enrollment at an accredited college/university – undergrad Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in a Optoelectronic Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other similar relevant discipline
    • Maintaining a minimum of 3.2 GPA in a 4.0 grade scale
    • Basic knowledge with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Abode Acrobat
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • U.S. Person required due to iTAR restrictions
    • Local candidates only 

    Preferred

    • Experience in utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to develop measuring techniques and characterizing conformance for release to market, high volume manufacturing ramp and end customer product specification
    • Experience working with sales, marketing and design engineering to develop new customers and applications for optoelectronic products
