    Teledyne Controls’ Summer Internship Program is designed to provide a robust and meaningful experience that includes high impact, business-relevant, hands-on project with well-defined goals and deliverables.  Interns will have access to professional development and mentorship, leadership exposure, and Controls’ immersion activities.  Interns will work directly with assigned current project the team has going on throughout the internship.


    Controls’ Internship Program is a premier ten to twelve-week program focused on preparing graduate and undergraduate students’ for product-facing consultative internships.  Paid internship positions will start in June and ends end of August.  All Intern applicants must be a registered, full-time student at a college or university.

    Position Summary and Responsibilities


    Teledyne Controls’ currently has an exciting opportunity as an Intern for our EMI Test Engineering division.  Under general supervision, this position is responsible for assisting in EMI and other engineering tests.


    Key Functions

    • Interpret test plans and test procedures based engineering documentation for qualification projects.
    • Support test equipment requirements and setup for formal testing.
    • Assist with witnessing and monitoring Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Environmental tests such as RF Emissions, RF Susceptibility, Vibration, and Thermal.
    • Perform data analysis to ensure only accurate information is presented to engineering personnel.
    • Where appropriate, make use of engineering skills to identify and solve technical problems.
    • Complete test projects in a timely manner adhering to established schedules.
    • Maintain accurate and reliable records of test projects (including test plan, data, analysis, engineering communications, and final report)
    • Prepare and issue final project reports




    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Current enrollment at an accredited college/university – undergrad Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other similar disciplines

    • Maintaining a minimum of 3.2 GPA in a 4.0 grade scale
    • Basic knowledge with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Abode Acrobat
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • U.S. Person required due to iTAR restrictions
    • Local candidates only


    • Electromagnetic course work desired
    • Knowledgeable in the use of some test equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Multimeter)
    • Documentation skills experience
