    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Battery Products is seeking an [entry-level] Production Equipment Operator to assist with assembling cells and other components in battery cases to complete the aircraft storage battery.

     

    Key Functions

    • Performing assembler cells and other components in container (battery case) to make complete aircraft/storage battery
    • Performing manual inter-cell burning with various fixtures
    • Actively checking and replacing as required, damaged separators or envelopes and drops cells maintaining correct polarity into battery case
    • Complete test cells electrically for shorts and polarity
    • Continuously checking inter-cell burns for tears, rundowns and proper burn
    • May operate epoxy dispenser and burn terminals under direction of supervisor or lead person
    • Continuously keeping area(s) safe and clean

    Qualifications

    Required

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • At least a minimum of three (3) months of related experience and/or training.
    • Ability to add and subtract four or five digit numbers is required
    • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
    • Must have a valid forklift license
    • Must be U.S. Person due to iTAR restrictions
