Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Marine Systems is seeking a professional to join our repair operation. The right candidate will be responsible for service and repair functions within the Marine Systems Customer Support & Service Department. The role will encompass a wide variety of hands on repair activity as well as documenting repairs, updating customer records, and performing other repair department related tasks. This candidate will develop the technical knowledge and skills to provide technical support screening of incoming repair requests and assist in technical support activity when needed. Other administrative activities may include data entry, filing of repair records and preparation of all required documentation in support of service & repair activities. The repair technician works in a team environment with other technicians, applications engineers, product line managers and senior leadership. Computer literacy is a must.



  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience in a repair or technical support environmentTechnical background with proven software, electrical, and electro mechanical skills as well advanced troubleshooting & problem solving techniquesCapable of troubleshooting problems down to the component level
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, Power Point, Access
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills & meticulous attention to detail
  • Enjoys working in a fast paced multi-task environment
  • Ability to interact in person and by phone/email with a global customer base
  • Aptitude to understand a diverse portfolio of ocean technology products and parts
  • Candidate must possess U.S. citizenship or be a "U.S. Person". (A U.S. Person is defined as a person who is a lawful permanent resident “Green Card holder” as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101 (a)(20) or who is a ”Protected Individual” as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).)



  • 5+ years in a manufacturing/engineering position
  • Experience with Infor XA or IFS ERP systems
  • Salesforce, Service Max, or other CRM system experience
