    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Teledyne Battery Products is seeking an [entry-level] Production Equipment Operator to assist with moving and setting up machines for operations.


    Key functions

    • Removes plates from oven conveyor and places on multi-level racks
    • Using forklift to transport full racks to and from curing oven and curing room
    • Assists with setting up machines for operation and loading lead grids onto machine
    • Repeat vacuums up area throughout shift to minimize airborne lead dust
    • End of shift clean-up includes cleaning of mixer, hopper, paste machine and pasting area using water hose and wire brush, scrub pads
    • Keep area clean
    • Clean machinery



    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED
    • At least a minimum three (3) months machine experience or training
    • Must be able to obtain forklift certification
    • Required to stand for lengthy periods of time, wear mask, tyvek suit and withstand hot working environment
    • Close/peripheral vision required
    • Must be able to read and understand manufacturing orders
    • Basic math and ability to use calculator
    • Ability to effectively communicate in English oral and written format
    • Ability to subtract and add four to five digit numbers
    • Must have the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ lbs.
    • Must be a U.S. Person due to iTAR restrictions
