    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The Security Systems Administrator will assist the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) implementing information systems security tasks required for the safeguarding, handling, and controlling of classified information.

     

    Other Responsibilities: 

    1. Will execute sound internal information systems security inspection skills in accordance with applicable government regulations and company procedures.
    2. Apply STIGS to both Windows and Linux operating systems.
    3. Work with ISSO to resolve STIG setting issues. (troubleshoot)
    4. Develop and create RHEL Kickstart images.
    5. Assist with the security settings documentation to be included in the Risk Management framework package.
    6. Applies patches and assists with operating system upgrades on an ongoing basis.
    7. Assists in spill containment and cleanup.

     ***This position requires an active DoD Security Clearance***

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

     

    Requires a BS degree in a recognized field of engineering, IT, or a closely related field of science. Normally requires approximately twelve years of applicable professional experience or a combination of graduate study and experience. 

     

    Other Requirements:

    • Must be knowledgeable in information systems security in order to assure enforcement of company and government regulations.
    • Must possess prior knowledge of NISPOM, NIST 800-171, DFARS and Risk Management Framework is required. 
    • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
    • Working knowledge of network and communications equipment.
    • Experience with ACAS and HBSS.
    • Hands-on experience with Image Creation (Windows Deployment Kit, Windows AIK)
    • Experience with deployment, configuration and management of Data-at-Rest (DAR) whole disk encryption requirements for Linux and Windows computers.
    • Experience with deployment, configuration and management of audit analysis tools and/or a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
    • Candidate must possess scripting abilities to automate applying the STIGS settings on different operating systems that include RHEL and Windows.
