    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for the field sales of Teledyne DALSA’s industrial products. This is a sales role for the US northeast territory which involves working closely with our automation partners and customers. The employee will be responsible for growing and supporting sales throughout the region.    

    Essential Functions:

    • Assist channel with pre-sale to develop creative, high-value technical solutions for our customers
    • Determine technical requirements and equipment needed to provide an outstanding customer experience
    • Follow up on incoming inquiries. Understand customer requirements and ways to differentiate Teledyne from the competition
    • Continually engage channel partners to ensure they are properly trained on how to position and sell Teledyne products. Work to increase Teledyne mindshare across our partner sales teams
    • Conduct product and solution demonstrations at customer sites as necessary to win sales
    • Contribute to the development/betterment of our products
    • Hunt and nurture new selling partners in underperforming areas or areas with low coverage
    • Assists at trade shows, partner seminars and other marketing events
    • Coordinate evaluations utilizing the in-house Applications Engineering team
    • Collaborate with sales peers on opportunities that cross regional borders
    • Maintain and continuously update sales and opportunities forecast

      • Highly motivated with a strong interest in technical sales
      • Strong global business sense and desire to contribute to the overall company efforts and initiatives
      • Able to work independently and enjoy interacting with customers and sales channels
      • Accountable to commitments and execute on deadlines
      • Able to travel frequently


      Minimum education and work experience required:

      • Technical degree with working knowledge of vision or automation preferred
      • 3-5 years of outside technical sales preferred
      • Experience in selling technical products to production managers and engineers
