    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    The Multi-craft Maintenance/Fitter  plans, installs, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies piping and tubing systems used in process laboratory, office and utility areas.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing tubing and piping

    Taking field measurements and creating isometric pipe fabrication drawings Perform material take-off on these drawings

    Pipe fabrication (welded and screwed systems)

    Estimating labor hours required on jobs

    Basic troubleshooting of equipment 

    Repair and installation of Heat Exchangers and associated equipment

    Fabrication of custom built equipment stands and piping supports

    Welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints.

    Repair or replacement of faulty tubing, valves, flanges, and other devices.




    Education and/or Experience                                   

                            Preferred NCCER in Instrument Fitter or Pipefitting

                           Candidate must have 3 to 5 years work experience in an Industrial Environment
