Position Summary and Responsibilities


This position reports to the Production Control Manager and will be responsible for providing support with cycle counting, forecasting, scheduling, material releases, inventory managment, and MRP maintenance.


  • To provide specific support to the Production Control Manager.
  • Responsible for cycle counter associate and cycle counting systems.
  • Work under the direction of the Production Control Manager to help provide correct forecasts.
  • Provide departments with necessary schedules as directed by Production Control Manager
  • Maintain proper inventory levels through timely ordering/releases
  • Work closely with production  and sales department on production control issues which will allow them to more efficiently meet their needs
  • Keep accurate records of inventory either manually or computerized
  • Expedites materials on an as required basis
  • Responsible for running MRP on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for analyzing MRP requirements.
  • Problem soving, manage data and communication across departments.
  • Managing priorities between manufacturing, quality, sales and delivery obligations.
  • Assist with supervising production control clerks.




  • An Associate’s Degree in a related field is required.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in Production Control and Master Scheduling within a manaufacturing environment.
  • Must have supervisory or other leadershiop experience. 
  • Must have intermediate to advance knowledge of computer applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and MRP systems, Microsoft AX experience highly preferred.
  • Must have the ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have experience with providing exemplary customer support with both internal and external customers.
  • Must have the ability to critically think through complex issues with high attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to prepare reports and production schedules within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent math aptitude.
  • Proficiency with Kanban, JIT, and lean manufacturing practices.


  • The physical requirements of the position require the ability to sit at a computer workstation for an extended period of time with repetitive utilization of a computer, keyboard, mouse and desk phone.
