Position Summary and Responsibilities


Implement the business unit sales strategy by visiting and corresponding target customers; presenting our capabilities & services; seeking new applications; enhancing relationships with current and new contacts through excellent customer service.


This person will work with Internal Sales, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing Representatives, and customers to determine customer needs, definition of specifications/requirements, to promote the development and introduction of new products into existing and new markets.


Provide technical solutions and support to both intern and external customers. Specifically, this includes at a minimum, but is not limited to:

    • Hold technical discussions with the customer to identify their specific project needs and determine the best Teledyne Reynolds product solution.
    • Ability to ‘internally sell’ the project or opportunity to ensure correct resource is assigned to the support the opportunity to meet customer expectations.

Consistently meet or exceed defined sales targets in the defined territory. Methods must include strategic and conceptual selling fundamentals. Specifically, this includes at a minimum, but is not limited to:

        • Identifying and qualifying target customers requiring the organization’s focus within the defined territory. Qualification should include consideration of the account’s fit with defined criteria and business potential.
        • Developing and implementing sales strategies for major accounts within the defined territory. In some cases, this may require a significant level of personal attention on the account.

Consistently contribute to improving Teledyne Reynolds position in the market. Specifically, this includes at a minimum, but is not limited to:

        • Ensuring thorough, quality responses to customer requests for quotations and/or proposals are provided on all major opportunities within the defined region. This may include preparing some or all of the response.
        • Acquiring and communicating information to sales Management about defined markets, customers, potential product extensions, competitors and the perception of Teledyne Reynolds in the market.
        • Conducting yourself in a professional way at all times in the execution of your duties for Teledyne Reynolds.

Be an effective member of the Teledyne Reynolds sales organization. Specifically this includes, but is not limited to:

    • Developing and maintaining an effective working relationship with the other members of the sales team.
    • Working in accordance with defined sales related procedures, recommending improvements and periodically assisting in the implementation of changes to those procedures.
    • Functioning effectively as a member of any team tasked with achieving a sales related goal.
    • Assisting others in the department when reasonably requested.

Manage Regional Manufacturer Representatives (Mfg. Rep)

  • Establish territory goals
  • Develop sales and orders forecast
  • Provide reports to management
  • Train new Mfg. Rep and Distributors


- BS degree in marketing, sales or engineering

- Applicant must have three to five years direct sales, B2B sales, or product marketing experience or equivalent

- Experienced in PC software

- Knowledge of, or experience with selling interconnect and electro-mechanical products preferred

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment; will juggle multiple projects/priorities at once
