Summary: A person in this position will work to improve existing procedures and processes within our system and collaborate with team members to improve and develop quality controls and verifications. The individual will coordinate and provide guidance on the efforts of the technical support staff in the performance of assigned activities in all phases of electronic manufacturing programs.

Key Functions of Job:

• Works with manufacturing to ensure compliance with quality requirements as well as engagement to review and resolve assembly/test yield issues.
• Coordinates and conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity.
• Reviews customer requirements at the inception of the program/project and establish compliance.
• Resolution of issues arising from as received, in-process, final, and other inspection of non-conforming material/hardware; inclusive of disposition of the discrepant material/hardware.
• Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.
• Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.
• Interfaces with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues.
• Support data collection and analysis, RMA review, MRB activities and weekly internal collaborative meeting/s with functional department representatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Must be familiar with ITAR restrictions and policies
• Must have knowledge in engineering, and have experience in interpreting GD&T, customer documentation, and requirements
• Must have working knowledge of PCB assembly processes including SMT, wave solder, stencil printing, reflow, hand soldering etc.
• Must have strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio)
• Must be able to learn on-site software, hardware, and equipment as necessary.
• Must have critical problem solving skills and be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work overtime as needed; this position often requires work weeks in excess of 40 hours, including evenings and weekends

Education & Qualifications:

• Related experience required
• Bachelor’s degree required; BSEE, BSME preferred
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations:

• Industry related certifications preferred (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, ASQ Auditing, CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, etc.)
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance if necessary
