Position Summary and Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Support and provide technical and hands on detector processing for Teledyne Imaging Detector Sensors for both production and engineering projects. As a skilled specialist, this position requires working closely with process engineers and assisting technicians to contribute to process and yield improvements by developing new concepts and techniques for detector production. The Array Processing Technician is also responsible for completion of each task within assigned deadlines and budgets.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Operate deposition equipment and etch tools including metal deposition, indium chambers, PECVD, RIE and ICP tools contributing to process and yield improvements.
  • Operate Ion Implanter including detector mount/de-mount.
  • Measure implant witness samples including RTP annealing, 4 point probe measurement and prepare MCT and silicon implant witness samples for SIMs analysis to validate ion implanter accuracy and ensure overall ion implanter health.
  • Operate metrology tools for measurement data collection such as Dektak, elliipsometer etc…
  • Operation of anneal tube furnace for MCT detector processing.
  • Microscope Inspection of Detector and ROIC wafers during processing.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on key equipment as required to ensure top quality process equipment for front end detector array processing.
  • Assist in training of department peers on detector processes and equipment as needed.
  • Assist in HyViSI detector processing including the operation of the MRL oxidation and annealing furnace.
  • HyViSI detector processing will also include wet chemical etch steps including RCA clean and BOE etch.
  • Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data
  • Follow all proper clean room protocol and safety procedures.
  • Preform SPC data input and tracking
  • Orders materials and cleanroom supplies as needed.

  • Ability to utilize complicated drawings and mathematics formulas and a variety of precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to contribute to the improvement and development of concepts and techniques for front end detector and ROIC processing.
  • Capability to complete complex tasks in creative and effective ways with little supervision.
  • Ability to make recommendations for new procedures.
  • Ability to make independent, informed decisions in determining methods and procedures for new assignments.
  • Must be a team player and interact well with fellow engineers and peers.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices.

 

 

Education and/or Experience

                                                 

High School Diploma with five (5) to ten (10) years of experience or Associate’s Degree with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Array Processing
