Position Summary and Responsibilities

The Engineering Project Manager position will plan, lead, and direct the activities and resources associated with a technology transfer project from our customer to product manufacturing, while also providing leadership to both internal and external customers to ensure the successful completion of the project.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Program Manager and customer to ensure the successful realization of program goals.
  • Proactively participate in the project team environment and monitor the program from initiation through final delivery.
  • Establish operational objectives and delegate assignments to staff to ensure both tactical and strategic alignment/collaboration as needed.
  • Generate and manage project plan/schedule including identifying and establishing program milestones.
  • Generate and maintain program documentation and files.
  • Resolve conflicts to ensure project completion on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate establishment of manufacturing operations, sustaining engineering and quality programs for this product (from concept to production).
  • Ensure all product solutions reflect Teledyne Seismic design and qualification standards.
  • Performs all other duties requested, directed, or assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Engineering or related field).
  • 10+ years recent successful Engineering Project Management experience in a related industry, 7+ years’ experience in marine oil and gas related technologies
  • Proven leadership skills through technical management experience.
  • Excellent skills in customer service, project management, negotiations, problem solving, contracts, and finance.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and computer skills.
  • Candidates must be US persons.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position will serve as a project manager and as such must possess leadership and professionalism expected from managers

 

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Frequently works at a desk/computer performing research, collecting data, and preparing documents and reports.
  • Occasionally moves about the office and production areas to gather information.
  • Frequently uses communication tools such as email and telephone.
  • Occasionally travels to other locations to participate in meetings and/or perform work assignments.
  • Must be able to perform research, and accurately interpret, understand, and retain job related information, government regulations, company policies, and product specifications/drawings.
  • Occasionally lifts and moves materials that weigh up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet requirements.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Frequently communicates with managers, technical staff, coworkers, and customers in the performance of job duties. Must be able to exchange accurate information and understand instructions and technical details.
  • Must be able to maintain a clean and organized work area.
