Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Controls is seeking a seasoned Facilities Staff (Planning & Administration) to perform repair work and general maintenance for all building systems and equipment repairs and maintenance.

Essential duties:

  • Provide oversight and expertise to all building projects, including maintenance, modifications, new construction, and changes to the properties
  • Coordinates Facility maintenance proposals, scheduling and completion
  • Support and monitor renovation, repair and remodeling projects
  • Inspects project conditions and monitor progress to ensure conformance to design, specifications and safety standards
  • Performs facility audits and conducts facilities condition assessments
  • Issue and track POs for multiple vendors; receive, verify and process invoices
  • Performs filing of design and construction documents in electronic and hard form
  • Develop and communicate project safety requirements and safety procedure list and observe, report and recommend correction to violations as they arise
  • Prepare, track and provide status updates on all assignments, projects and submittals
  • Prepare general contractor and subcontractor scope of work
  • Create and maintain project budgets, schedules and variances
  • Prepare and present PowerPoint presentations and project schedules at meetings
  • Prepare and manage project schedules and deadlines
  • Support and implement EHS policy and procedures to effectively perform backup duties as needed for EHS coordinator


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • May occasionally oversee contractors, vendors and suppliers in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • At least a minimum three (3) years' of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License
  • Must have Intermediate application knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must have ability and technical skills to quickly learn company’s computerized database programs
  • Entry level AutoCAD knowledge desirable
  • Must have experience with space planning software and ability to manipulate floor plans digitally
  • Must have working knowledge with project planning, scheduling, estimating and preparation of Contractor and subcontractor scope of work
  • Must have ability to read and understand construction and working drawings and blueprints and local building and electrical codes
  • Must be familiar with pricing, purchasing and the preparation of purchase orders for materials, equipment and services
  • Must have basic experience working furniture systems; basic knowledge of power and data drawings
  • Must have ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced and fluid environment
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to the building trade. Must be willing to work outside if necessary in inclement weather and the ability to climb a ladder
  • Local travel per project needs
