Position Summary and Responsibilities

  • This is an Application Engineer position with our PSG Global Technical Services team.
  • This position will support our customers in using the industry’s leading edge test and measurement products for serial protocols related to rendering and transmitting images and video over digital video protocols.
  • We need someone who provide frontline technical assistance and advice to multiple customers worldwide.
  • The candidate will work with many teams including the marketing teams, sales teams, engineering teams and test teams as required.
    • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for HDMI and DisplayPort product lines.
    • Respond to customer queries and requests for help using the support tracking system by web, email and phone.
    • Provide Technical Training in support of out products to new and existing customers or at industry events.
    • Collaborate with other team members: sales engineering, marketing, application engineering and product development teams to drive closure on customer deliverables
    • Create and develop relationships with key customer decision makers
    • Contribute new product proposals for product roadmaps, validate new product releases, champion customer needs in product development
    • Maintain high work ethic to meet or exceed quarterly business objectives and design in targets
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally


Through hands-on learning, studying technical specifications, and mentoring, you will develop expertise in digital video protocols and in our instruments that test and validate these protocols. Ultimately enabling you to become one of the world’s elite experts in this field.


  • BSEE/BCCS, Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electronics/ electrical engineering/computer science/ relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Strong analytical /problem solving skills, proactive problem solver
  • Comfortable interfacing with customers and being part of the Sales process
  • Good understanding of Sales cycle and customer decision making and development cycle
  • Strong planning and organization. Time management and prioritization.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical and electronics principles
  • Basic understanding of computer network configuration and protocols
  • Ability to self-manage multiple projects
  • Work within organizational policies and practices
  • Ability to understand and develop code in languages such as Python, Perl, C, C++, Java
  • Sets goals and objectives

Ability to obtain necessary documentation to travel domestically and internationally


  • Working knowledge of digital and analog video technologies
  • Familiarity with a Linux operating environment
  • Experience using test instruments (e.g. oscilloscopes, digital video/audio analyzers)
  • Foreign language skills
  • Customer support experience
  • Software testing experience
  • Web development (ASP, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, XML)

Experience in defining and executing system level validation testing
