    We are looking to add a Quality Engineer to QA Dept to provide support to the QMS program throughout the facility.

    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for driving corrective action and failure analysis in a timely manner.
    • Work to reduce defects in various processes through data analysis and team problem solving.

    • Ensures effective root cause analysis and closed loop corrective actions at a systematic level
    • Provide guidance and assistance in quality enhancement strategies and the interpretation of workmanship criteria.
    • Must be able to handle and prioritize many tasks simultaneously, work well with minimal direct supervision, and effectively utilize time and resources. Must be a self-starter and objective problem-solver with excellent communication and PC skills.
    • Must be highly organized, motivated, take-charge individual who is a team player.
    • Experience with test and measurement of electronic/RF component is a plus.
    • Review Customer Statements of Wrok (SOW) and contracts to provide feedback on execution and quality requirements' tailoring
    • Must be willing to work in a diversity of tasks to support not only the Quality effort, but also the ISO/ AS9100 maintenance and operations effort
    • Other non-duties may be assigned as needed




    • Minimum of 5 years related professional Quality Engineering experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline
    • Experience with QMS, ISO 9001, AS 9100. AS 9102 and experience in aerospace-related manufacturing environment
    • Experience with technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing documents
    • Ability to use analytical tools and methods.
    • Have prior experience working with suppliers and customers
    • Demonstrate good soft skills and have the ability to work within a cross-functional team environment
    • This an exempt position may be required to work 40 hours or more
    • Familiar with lean manufacturing concepts such as DFMA, Input-output diagrams, and SPC
    • Experience in supporting design and manufacturing processes and have the ability to work within a cross-functional team environment
    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in failure analyses, root cause analysis using 6s techniques such as fault trees and fishbone diagrams, and implementing and enforcing corrective actions
    • Experience performing product/process audit to assess compliance to specifications        
    • Serving as a customer liaison communication interface in quality related issues.
    • Provide technical support for design/manufacturing activities of electromechanical switches designed for RF applications.      
    • Work jointly with Product Engineering to assess product anomalies and provide root cause, corrective action plans, and preventive actions.
    • Carry out Quality Engineering surveillance / oversight of product assembly and test activities.
    • Perform trend analysis of internal yields and of supplier performances and reporting on those trends.
    • Must have good oral and written communication skills to work with Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Materials team members, you will provide quality engineering and quality assurance principles to support the switching products, work on product improvement and new product development projects and resolve real time production and field problems.
    • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will occasionally stand, walk, reach with hand/arms, be required to lift up to 10 lbs. Will frequently sit, use hands or fingers to handle or feel, able to hear instructions and talk to provide feedback
    • VISION Requirements: Must be able to frequently adjust focus and have clear peripheral vision. Occasionally will require to distinguish depth perception, and be able to identify and distinguish colors, plus disitinguish distance (up to 20 ft)
    • WORK ENVIRONMENT: Will continuously work near moving mechanical parts, and/or require contact with moving mechanical equipment. Will occasionally feel vibration and may experience quiet to moderate noise levels
