Position Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support our location in Chatsworth. The ideal candidate will possess a balanced mix of Electronic Design and Analysis with Software and Embedded Firmware Design. 



  • Possess hardware design expertise to support digital logic design incorporating microcontrollers and/or programmable arrays such as FPGAs, analog circuitry to support environmental sensors such as pressure, temperature and acceleration, plus voltage regulation
  • Capable of integrating standard PC (personal computers) with in-house designed products using RS-232, RS-422, USB, and other communication methods
  • Formal design process of software and firmware from the concept, design, planning, requirements, description and final report documentation perspective.




  • BSEE required
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good analytical, decision and interpersonal skills
  • Familiar with basic laboratory design and troubleshooting equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Counters, Data Acquisition equipment, power supplies, meters, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Use standard engineering design tools such as Orcad Schematic Capture and related tools
  • Experienced in the design, coding, integration, validation and verification of both software and embedded firmware. 
  • Experienced in the design, integration and support of software and firmware using assembly language, intermediate languages (like “C”), higher order languages (HOL) like Visual Basic, PASCAL or ADA
