Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Controls is seeking an experienced Document Control Specialist to provide excellent document control skills necessary to define and maintain product configuration and control manufacturing processes that ensure conformance to customer requirements.

 

Essential duties:

  • Perform Document Control tasks in a busy office environment.
  • Release Engineering drawings, Parts Lists and other design documents into the Document Management System.
  • Review documents for general layout requirements.
  • Enter Bill of Material (BoM) data from engineering drawings into the Document Management System.
  • Fulfill digital and hardcopy document requests.
  • Generate software media products using automated media duplication equipment.
  • Perform customer Data Management tasks
  • Perform Controlled Document Distribution tasks
  • Perform external web (e-Services) document posting tasks

Qualifications

Associate Degree (A.A./A.S.); at least six (6) to eight (8) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, Access, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
  • Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.

  • Knowledge of Document Control practice and Engineering documentation management

  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and Parts Lists.
  • Working knowledge of specific software – automated Document Control systems, ERP systems.
  • Able to follow instructions to operate a drill press and labeling equipment.
