Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Relays is looking to add an entry level Production Equipment Operator to the Automatics Dept.

  • Responsible for operating various automatic and semi-automatic machinery. 
  • Will need to perform quality inspections and quantity of parts produced, may also need to package parts. 
  • Be open to learning and acquiring job skills through continual cross-training of all/any departmental equipment as needed, while following Company policies, rules/regulations and safety procedures. 
  • Maintain updated paperwork per specifications and check for in service calibration tags for all tooling and equipment being utilized.
  • Keep work area clean, organized and maintain proper storage of tools. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Lead/Supervisor.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED); vocational school training acceptable. 
  • 6 months to 1 year of previous related experience is preferred. 
  • Candidate must be able to work with a microscope, small hand tools, have good manual dexterity and good hand/eye/tool coordination. 
  • Must be familiar with and have basic computer skills to be able to make data entries on a daily basis for labor hours and for inventory control. 
  • Be cross-trained on equipment as needed, and continue to build knowledge, skills and abilities throughout the department. 
  • Must be able to work as a team as well as independently. 
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills, and know basic math. 
  • Be able to interpret instructions provided orally or written via diagram or schedule form
  • PHYSICAL DEMAND: Candidate will occasionally stand, walk, stoop, bend, knee, crouch; be able to lift and carry 10-24 lbs; Candidate will frequently need to hear to listen or talk to ask questions or provide feedback; will continuously need to sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms
  • VISION REQUIREMENTS: must be able to distinguish colors; be required to use close vision, have the ability to adjust focus and determine depth
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: may work near moving mechanical parts or be in contact with moving mechanical equipment
  • Candidate must be a U.S. person per ITAR requirements

NOTE: Relocation is not included with this job opening.
