Position Summary and Responsibilities

Summary –

 

Apply knowledge of instrumentation and chemical principles for analysis of customer samples. Responsible for customer support with regards to products and the proper operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Operate and maintain the demo units for the liquids product line.
  • Maintain samples, standards, and chemical reagent inventory consistent with applicable safety precautions.
  • Operate and maintain the GCMS and Mercury Analyzers and any other relevant equipment.
  • As needed, assist the Quality Control (QC) Department with any product testing.
  • Assist the R&D group and the liquids product manager in any testing of new products.
  • Works with manufacturing team to validate new product functionality prior to shipping.
  • Create and approve QC procedures and work instructions.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  •  Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • AA & GCMS
  • Good organizational skills
  • Sound judgment and interpersonal skills

 

Experience:

  •  At least 3 years’ experience in Laboratory instrumentation

 

Education:    

  •  B.S. degree in Chemistry or related field
