Position Summary and Responsibilities

The Weapon System Hardware Operational Status Analyst perform duties related to the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Patriot hardware operational status monitoring software. Candidate will review prime contractor software requirements documentation, software and requirements change documentation. Tasks include on-site participation in acceptance and contractor test events, prime contractor Formal Qualification Tests (FQTs) and major program meetings.  Analyst will independently review FQT data.  Analyst will design, execute and analyze independent tests of the software using the Patriot Software Test Facility at the Army Software Engineering Directorate and produce independent test reports.



  • Current DoD security Clearance
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in software development, IV&V, testing or simulation

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with IV&V, testing, hardware prognostics, simulation or development of software for major Army or MDA weapons systems
  • Experience developing test tools for use in Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) test facilities for analysis and assessment of software
  • Experience preforming Patriot missile systems maintenance activities, including Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and Battle Damage Assessment Repair (BDAR) activities.



Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or other technical discipline.
